Our water analysis are carried out with scientific methodology and accuracy. We take the time to evaluate and explain the results to you when emailed back - so you don’t have to be a chemist to understand and use the Oceamo ICP analysis which also now includes RO water testing

With our ICP-OES  testing we can safely analyse a large part of the essential elements, trace elements and pollutants in your reef aquarium.

Our ion chromatography (with conductivity and UV detection) also enables us to reliably determine fluoride, nitrate and nitrite with very low detection limits. The salinity is determined with a conductivity probe, and the alkalinity (KH) determined titrimetrically. In addition, we measure phosphate with a sensitive photometric method, which determines this important parameter very reliably.

Using our Oceamo Lab Classic analysis ICP test to determine all essential chemical parameters in the reef aquarium:

This will create a "chemical fingerprint" of your aquarium, and together we can optimize your aquarium by adjusting the water parameters.

We recommend routinely having an Oceamo ICP test ever 2-3 months. In this way, you can detect and counteract any accumulation of pollutants (for example, through corroded equipment), before any effects on living organisms become visible.

Together, we can also detect missing (trace) elements in your water and specifically address the deficiencies to further improve the health, coloration and growth of your coral. With our custom elements , we can produce a tailor-made / bespoke mix for your aquarium, which corrects exactly in your aquarium system all the deficiencies identified in the analysis to the ideal value.

Alternatively the regular use of Oceamo Regulator's A and O may be advised to correct any deficiencies effectively long term.

Oceamo also have their own range of extremely cost effective individual supplements Iodine, Strontium, Manganese, Fluoride, Rubidium, Potassium, Boron, Bromide, Phosphorus and Nitrogen, should individual elements need adjusting.

In order to use the RO water testing as well then simply fill one of the white capped tubes with RO water sample and mark it with an ‘X’ preferably permanent marker pen.

Why use the Oceamo ICP test over any other ICP test available?

Well Oceamo are the only lab that really measures salinity using a conductometer, we are the only one to measure orthophosphate directly (not just phosphorus via ICP), we are the only one measuring nitrite, a good indicator for bacterial issues. Furthermore unlike others we measure alkalinity, and also do ion chromatography, so include essential parameters like fluoride and nitrate as well.

Oceamo ICP also includes a 0.22 micron filter to use when taking some of your sample water and test for Rubidium.

Time and care is taken over each and every ICP analysis sent in, where Dr Christoph Denk will personally oversee and writes up and fully explains your results emailed back.
